Employees stop trusting the tool the moment they learn what it captures. And the whole relationship shifts from &#8220;we&#8217;re on the same team&#8221; to &#8220;I&#8217;m being watched by someone who won&#8217;t show me what they see.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>If a tool can&#8217;t survive being fully visible to the person it&#8217;s tracking, that&#8217;s a sign the tool \u2014 not the tracking \u2014 is the problem.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>What Transparent Monitoring Looks Like Instead<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Employees see the exact same dashboard a manager sees \u2014 not a stripped-down version<\/li>\n<li>Screenshot capture is optional and configurable, never silently on by default<\/li>\n<li>Keystrokes are counted for scoring, never logged as content<\/li>\n<li>Threshold changes apply going forward only \u2014 history is never quietly rewritten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Why This Is a Business Decision, Not Just an Ethical One<\/h2>\n<p>Transparent monitoring isn&#8217;t just the more comfortable choice for employees \u2014 it changes what managers can actually do with the data. A number nobody trusts gets ignored.
